Lost property

Items left in our vehicles are logged and held centrally. Most items are recovered within 24 hours.

How to report lost property

  1. If you’re still in the app: tap “Report lost property” on the trip in your history. The driver gets an instant alert.
  2. Or call us on 0800 EASYCAB at any time of day or night.
  3. Or email us at hello@easyminicab.co.uk with your booking reference and a description.

What we do

  • We notify the driver within 30 minutes.
  • We check the vehicle within 60 minutes of the next trip’s end.
  • If found, we hold the item at our office or arrange a return drop-off (£10 charge to cover driver time).
  • You can collect free of charge from our office during business hours.

Items we hold and how long

  • Standard items: held for 28 days, then donated or disposed of.
  • Documents (passports, IDs): held for 90 days.
  • Electronics: held for 28 days.
  • Cash: handed in to police as found property within 7 days.
  • Valuable items (jewellery, watches): handled per the same rules and locked in our safe.

Verification

To collect, you’ll need to confirm the booking reference and provide a description of the item that wasn’t in your original report (e.g. brand, contents, distinguishing features). Photo ID may be required for high-value items.
